O6: “Take Hands with me”: Dancing Shakespeare in a Midsummer Night’s Dream

The open session will present Davide Bombana’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, created in 2024 for Compagnia Opus Ballet (Florence). His interpretation presents an interesting experimentation between tradition and innovation which combines movement, music, lights and scenes. This gives life to an engaging performance which addresses the innermost nature of feelings in the dark setting of the forest, amplified through Oberon and Titania’s quarrel, and focussed on Hermia. Davide Bombana, internationally renowned choreographer of the ballet, will be present together with dancers Giulia Orlando and Niccolò Poggini.
